چکیده

Due to the COVID-19 pandemic, citizens of United Kingdom were required stay at home for many months in 2020. In weeks before and following lockdown, including when it was not being enforced, advised where possible. As a result, megacity such as London, long-distance commuting is common, spatial temporal changes patterns water demand are inevitable. This, turn, may change people's waste treated ultimately impact in-river quality effluent receiving waters. To assess large scale impacts, COVID-19, city scale, an integrated modelling approach that captures everything between households rivers needed. A framework achieve this presented study used explore use associated impacts on wastewater treatment result government societal responses COVID-19. Our results revealed significant household consumption under range scenarios, however, they only showed pollutant concentrations central London. Pollutant simulated by model most sensitive tributaries River Thames, highlighting vulnerability smaller important role play diluting pollution. Modelled ammonia phosphates found be pollutants because their main source urban domestic significantly altered during imposed mobility restrictions. evaluation we can accurately validate individual components (i.e., generator) emphasised need continuous measurements. Ultimatly, work provides basis further developments systems integration approaches project never-before seen scenarios.

Assessment of Guinea Savanna River system to evaluate water quality and water monitoring networks

The analysis of changes in water quality in a monitoring network system is important because the sources of pollution vary in time and space. This study utilized analysis of the water quality index calculation, hierarchical cluster analysis, and mapping. This was achieved by assessing the water quality parameters of the samples collected from Galma River in Zaria, Northwestern Nigeria in wet an...

The impact of new developments on river water quality from an integrated system modelling perspective.

New housing areas are a ubiquitous feature of modern life in the developing and developed world alike built in response to rising social, demographic and economic pressures. Inevitably, these new developments will have an impact on the environment around them. Empirical evidence confirms the close relationship between urbanisation and ambient water quality. However, what is lacking so far is a ...

Sensitivity and Uncertainty Analysis for River Water Quality Modelling

Uncertainty analysis for model simulations is assuming a growing importance in the field of water quality management. The importance of this concern is provided by recent public awareness over health risks from improper disposal of toxic wastes as well as by the continuing emphasis on risk assessment. The first step in the chain of the risk assessment is the quantification of the error in predi...

Water quality modelling for small river basins

Water quality modelling in small rivers is often considered unworthy from a practical and economic viewpoint. This paper shows instead that a simple model structure can be set up to describe the stationary water quality in small river basins in terms of carbon and nitrogen compounds, when the use of complex models is unfeasible. In short rivers point and nonpoint sources play a key role in shap...

Decision Support System for the Elbe River Water Quality Management

A decision support system (DSS) for integrated river basin management of the German part of the Elbe river basin is currently under development, which involves taking account water quantity, chemical quality and ecological state of surface waters. The Elbe is one of the largest river basins in middle Europe having multiple land and water use demands. A hierarchical approach was developed to mee...
